Since taking over the former Leakers & Keysafe site and becoming Jambox, we've been working through the facility piece by piece. Security was top of the list. Here's what's new, and what it means for you.
A heavy-duty automatic entry gate
The yard is now protected by a new heavy-duty automatic gate. It keeps the site closed to passers-by while making it easy for customers to drive in, park up and unload.
Only people with a reason to be on site can get in. For you, that means less hassle on arrival and far fewer strangers near your unit.
New secure roller shutters with Bluetooth entry
We've fitted new secure roller shutters to the storage building. They open with Bluetooth entry from your phone, so there are no codes to remember or keys to lose.
Every entry is linked to an individual customer. Access can't be shared by word of mouth, and it can be switched off instantly if a phone goes missing.
An all-new CCTV system, soon to be professionally monitored
We've replaced the old cameras with an entirely new CCTV system covering the yard, the entrance and the building.
We're now in the process of connecting it to Doncaster Security Operations Centre (DSOC), a specialist self storage monitoring centre. DSOC won the Innovation Award at the 2025 Self Storage Association UK Industry Awards for its suspicious-activity AI, which spots things like loitering and unusual access patterns in real time.
Once live, trained operators will be able to see and respond to anything unusual as it happens, not the next morning. We'll post an update here when monitoring goes live.
